Why Firo targets GPUs for mining
Cryptocurrencies can be mined using various hardware such as CPUs, ASICs and GPUs. Why has Firo decided to target GPUs with FiroPoW?
Firo for a good part of his history has been focused on being minable by graphic cards. So the question is, why doesn't Firo embrace ASIC or CPU mining?
I guess the the answer is, firstly, we want Firo to be mineable by consumer commodity hardware. You can mine it using regularly available hardware. And secondly,we want as many people to be able to mine it as possible.
There are also a few other considerations.
